These magical beasts, close cousins to the lammasu, the shedim travel through the Material Plane, Ethereal Plane, and Astral Plane arguing the virtues of law and goodness while helping those in need of instruction or perfection. From the neck down, a shedu looks like an immense, muscular bull with five legs. These stoic creatures have human heads with long, bristly black hair in tight curls over elaborately braided beards. They have a regal and detached air which seems in line with their golden crowns. Where there kingdoms might be no one knows as they do not speak of their crowns with anyone.

Shedim have sharp minds that are difficult to distract and are entirely immune to mind altering spells. Their five legs make them amazingly stable and are almost impossible to knock over. They have darkvision out to 60 feet. Finally, they have the ability to shift to the Astral Plane and the Ethereal Plane at will.

Shedim speak the Common, Draconic, and Celestial language but they prefer to communicate telepathically.
