paladin

Definition

Paladins, like clerics, operate as intermediaries for their gods and goddesses. Their deities grant them divine magics to heal and protect. They have several special abilities including smite and lay on hands. They can also turn undead and destroy undead. Paladins are warriors for their deities who strive to uphold the law, protect the weak, and defeat evil wherever they go. Their preferred weapon is a holy avenger and their sworn enemy are the blackguard.
