metal

About

Metals are pure samples, taken from ore, of certain elements in nature. The process by which they are purified and separated from other elements is called metallurgy. Examples of metals include: starmetal, adamantine, mithral, platinum, gold, silver, copper, tin, zinc, and iron.

Metals have been a critical resource for developing civilizations since long before the dawn of recorded history. The profession of miners, mining, is mostly concerned with freeing these useful elements from the grasp of the crystal spheres of the Material Plane. Beyond weapons and armors, metal is needed in a variety of roles to make life easier and more enjoyable all across the world.
