Lin Journal - Tower of Necromantic Deeds
The following is the partial translation from Lin’s Journal. Her journal is written in a unique elven dialect which has proven difficult to translate properly.
This entry is entitled:
Tower of Necromantic Deeds
_What a stupid place the tower of Necromantic deeds was. I’m almost at a loss for words on the lack of hospitality we received there. I’m going to send a letter to the manager about the accommodations- totally unacceptable.
First off the grounds were completely unkempt, resembling a swamp in all but name. When we were traveling through them to the tower, these undead kept rising up and attacking us. That doesn’t strike me as a very good welcoming staff, since they were trying to claw us and drag us back into the swampy muck. They could of at least been wearing matching shirts and hats so we would know they were staff and not just random guests. Come to think of it, maybe they were guests since I could see the boredom killing someone pretty easily.
Upon reaching the tower and moving through all of the facilities it had to offer, we were greeted at the top floor with an illusion of Blightning welcoming us to his tower and that he was sorry he couldn’t be there in person since he was busy destroying the world or some such nonsense. And to think all I got for the entire trip was a lousy piece of an artifact that would certainly spell defeat for Blightning, not hardly worth it in my opinion. I don’t think I should be coming back to this establishment any time soon.
We did meet a friendly guest of the tower named Gary, Gary the gargoyle I believe. He too was not satisfied with the current owners and had seen better times in the tower from its previous owners. He said he should like to depart the grounds and nigh return again; my thoughts exactly._
