Lin Journal - Crypt of Grimm

The following is the partial translation from Lin’s Journal. Her journal is written in a unique elven dialect which has proven difficult to translate properly.

I’m convinced after visiting Mount Falco and the Crypt of Grimm that this isn’t even a crypt. We did run into a couple undead that always seem to hang out in places like this because maybe the crypt was listed under the undead real estate listings. I haven’t seen this list, but I’m sure it exists. We never did find anything that looked like a resting place for Grimm. Lots of junk but no coffins or anything. Htaed seems to think that maybe that was a ruse to misdirect but crypts usually have stuff in them, so wouldn’t that make grave robbers thirst to get their hands on the stuff within? He didn’t really have a response to that. Ask the right questions and he goes silent. Very thoughtful man but sometimes the answers run dry if he doesn’t have his books to fall back on.

We did find the piece of the scepter we came all the way out here for. Toole keeps mumbling about whether it involves ‘killing’ as we move from room to room. I keep thinking about what a dwarf looks like under the skin. I should think I’ll find out soon enough if he keeps asking me that. He has been a great deal of help on this particular journey because his dwarven stoneworking skills has allowed him to direct us through the structure without getting lost in the many caves that stray from the crypt built into the mountain.

Anyway, why does Tomas keep staring at Uriel and smirking. He’s up to something, and I have an inclination to get involved in whatever mischief hes trying. Uriel has grown rather uncomfortable with Tomas and I; maybe he’s a little too much of a straight arrow for people of our profession.
